Ohana Coffee
For those familiar with my journey, you know that I am the enthusiastic founder and host of Ohana Coffee—a lively virtual community designed for Salesforce Trailblazers. To those still getting to know me, let me share the heartwarming story of how this community came to be.
In the early days of October 2016, I found myself immersed in a conference in the bustling city of San Francisco. It was there that I had the pleasure of connecting with members of the Salesforce Community from every corner of the globe. Realizing the incredible value of these connections, I was inspired to establish Ohana Coffee—a weekly water cooler-style virtual meetup, serving as a beacon for the bonds formed in San Francisco.
Since its inception, Ohana Coffee has blossomed into a dynamic community hub. Every week, we come together, not just to talk Salesforce, but to share our passions, hobbies, and favorite music. It’s a unique check-in with the community—and a safe space to ask questions, solve problems and network. Facilitating these weekly meetups is a genuine privilege, as we cultivate an environment where meaningful connections and collaborations flourish.
Immigrants ERG
As an immigrant, I sought to connect with others who shared a similar journey. Taking initiative, I became one of the pioneers in establishing the Immigrant Employee Resource Group (ERG) within our company. My primary goal is to foster a sense of community and support for Global Immigrants & Allies, offering resources for immigration connectivity, education, and networking opportunities.
Since its inception, we have organized a variety of events, ranging from insightful fireside chats to the celebration of global music awards. Additionally, we’ve facilitated volunteering opportunities, and I take immense pride in being an integral part of this community.
As a member of the leadership team, I assume the role of Communications Lead for the ERG. My team and I play a crucial role in facilitating communication with the external community. Our focus is on elevating awareness, boosting attendance, and enriching engagement in external events.
Scouts BSA
I play a vital role in Scouts BSA, serving as the secretary for two troops and taking on the responsibility of the advancement chair. Being deeply involved in this community has been a source of immense satisfaction for me. Beyond the administrative duties, I relish the chance to actively contribute to the growth and development of young individuals.
As a secretary, I ensure smooth communication and coordination within both troops, facilitating the exchange of information crucial for their activities and events. Simultaneously, my role as an advancement chair allows me to guide scouts on their journey of personal and skill development, fostering an environment of learning and achievement.
In Scouts BSA, I’ve discovered a community where my dedication is met with a sense of purpose, and where every effort, big or small, contributes to shaping the future of these young minds. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey, and I look forward to continuing to make a meaningful impact within this inspiring community.
